Although Route 62 does not directly join the Garden Route in a continuous, seamless manner, they do run very close to one another in the Western Cape region. Route 62 stretches inland from just outside Cape Town, while The Garden Route is a renowned coastal route beginning in Mossel Bay.

Local cafes and restaurants dish up delicious farm-to-table treats that will make your taste buds dance with joy, and since the town is a gateway to the surrounding wine-producing region, Montagu is also an ideal base for wine enthusiasts to explore nearby vineyards. Those who love the outdoors will find plenty to do here, with nearby hiking trails, rock climbing opportunities, various scenic mountain drives, and the beautiful Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountain ranges providing a stunning backdrop for it all.

Robertson is a haven for wine lovers, boasting numerous vineyards and wineries that produce a diverse range of wines, including world-class Chardonnay and Shiraz.
